When discussing the design of the strip with the director of the Scottish-Persian Association it was decided that they would like a tartan print to represent Scotland in the colours of the Iranian flag: red, white and green. I experimented with the placement of the tartan and also incorporated the national animal of Iran as well as some Iranian patterns to offer a variety of options.
